Motherboards have many integrated components soldered onto it. In saying this with the expert technician any motherboard can be repaired. Becuase moving any other motherboard components or damaging the motherboard could be catastrophic. Only a trained micro soldering specialist should perform this work. Once the faulty chip is identified the next stage is to remove the faulty chip and solder the new chip in its place. To find the faulty part, manufacturer specification motherboard schematics is used. Replacing the faulty components is not as easy it may sound because firstly, one has to know which IC or filter is faulty. A microscope is required to see the components in order for fault diagnosing. It’s like a mega city shrunk to a size of an A4 paper. Each component has a unique function to carry out.
